OSG Monitoring, Information, Accounting, and Catalogs

Blueprint Meeting, August 29-30, 2005
University at Buffalo

The purpose of this meeting is to focus on catalogs/monitoring/accounting, extract core requirements and design principles and plan the roadmap for the catalog, monitoring and accounting services.

There will be a registration fee of $85, which can be paid in cash or check made payable to the Center for Computational Research. Note: Meeting and hotel registrations must be made by August 21, 2005!

August 28, 2005: There will be a no host dinner in Niagara Falls, U.S.A. at the Hard Rock Cafe. Depart from the University Inn between 4:00-5:00PM, view Niagara Falls and dinner 7:00-8:00PM.

August 29 and 30th there will be a traditional Continental Breakfast at 8.30 am (Muffins, Pastries, Bagels, Juices, Coffee, Tea), a Host lunch, and morning and afternoon breaks.

The Goals of the meeting include coming to agreement on:

a) Agree on scope and terminology for MIS
b) Develop/Refine set of requirements and design principles
c) schedule and deliverables for Accounting Service for OSG 0.4
d) schedule and deliverables for, MIS-CI activities
e) schedule and deliverables for GridCAT activities
f) application use and dependence on the Clarens Discovery Service for OSG 0.4.
g) Job Monitoring /Job Mon / use cases and expected use by VOs. Job Mon has been requested as a new job monitoring component in VDT 1.3.7.
f) Monitoring Interoperation demonstrations for SC2005.
