To subscribe to an OSG mailing list, send an email to listserv at fnal.gov

Leave the subject blank. In the body of the email, type the following statement:

"subscribe listname firstname lastname"

Example: subscribe OSG_DOCS John Smith

How to Request a New Mailing List

Request Mailing List Form: http://listserv.opensciencegrid.org/request-list.asp (Note: The same form is used to request mailing lists for opensciencegrid.org and fnal.gov. Choose opensciencegrid.org)

The following are steps to follow when creating a mailing list.

a. You will need to:

1. Identify the email address of the primary owner.

2. Provide a name for the mailing list.

3. Choose opensciencegrid.org as the domain.

4. Provide a brief description of the mailing list.

5. Include a welcome message for new subscribers.

6. Identify other owners of the list, if applicable.


b. Select the appropriate settings for your mailing list:

1. List type

2. Subscription options

3. Member information

4. List privacy

5. Archive list

6. Archive privacy

7. Archive rotation

 
c. Include any additional comments in the text area provided.


d. Submit the form.


How to View an Archive

To view a ListServ archive, go to http://listserv.fnal.gov/archives
and navigate to the archive of the list.
